For about ten hours yesterday. It was warm – 6oish (16ish). It was even nice and sunny in the afternoon. I went for a short walk around the (small) lake on campus in the late afternoon and was able to wear a tank top.
Spring’s not in the air anymore. The weather changed back last night – while it was still sunny today it was also windy and cold. I was glad to have my down coat and fuzzy hat again.
The next month is going to be this constant back and forth. I think the only reason people wax so poetically about spring is that they’re ready for winter to be over – not because spring is actually that nice of a season. I have a feeling I have a lot more rain and grey and wind to look forward to. Oh well, the summer will be here soon and I will be too busy doing research to go outside and enjoy the weather.
